A crowning moment.

Both teams entered this game knowing that a win would greatly benfit. A win for Baros meant they would be crowned champions and a win for QWFC would see them a step closer to promotion.

The game started with Baros seeing more possession for the first ten minutes but never really threatening Sparrow. Some good solid defending meant that the scoreline remained o.o and with baros committing numbers forward, QWFC were able to catch them on the break which was effective and started to push the visitors back a little. Jack Watts was a constant threat and was the visitors main assest when breaking forward.

To be fair the game was evenly balanced with 10 minturs to go and when QWFC were awarded with a corner,Rigby whipped in a great ball for Benard whose header only just went wide which would of been rewarding for Benards great play up to this point.

With a minute left on the clock, a moment of lack of concentration led to Baros first goal. In the centre of the park the ball fell to Baros number 10 who fed a though ball into the path of Watts who's cool finish past Sparrow saw the visitors head into the second half one nill up.

The Second half began with QWFC pressing and working the ball with a better tempo. With the ball being fed to Skipp his pace began to press the Baros defence back which resulted in half chances being created.

The intensity of play then forced 3 consecutive corners and on the third it fell back out to Skipp who delivered a beautiful far post cross which was hammered into the net by the head of Mace. 1.1

Both sides spent the next 10 minutes working the ball trying to get the upper hand and on one ocassion Skipp again found himself on the end of a Benard through ball only to miss a one on one which was unlike the prolific forward.

Now the game ebbed and flowed until a ball into the towering forward of Baros saw him work the ball to the edge of the 18yrd box and unleashed a powerfull shot into Sparrow who would feel annoyed afyet that he never managed to hold onto as this is his strength. Sparrow could only parry the ball which fell to Rhodes whos quock reactions got to the ball first to make the score 2.1.

QWFC had no other option than to push for an equaliser which led to Watts breaking through to make it 3.1.

QWFC were denied any points on this ocassion but can be proud of there efforts. On another day it could have been very different but Baros were worthy of there efforts for all the hard work they have put in this season.
A massive well done to them from all a QWFC and hope to see them again next season but still in the same league as we are not dead by any stretch of the imagination.

Keep the faith.
